My Dearest Evan,
You are all boy and so much more! You are almost 18 months now and I swear you are learning more and more each day. You're observant and loud and rude and sweet and adorable and so intentional about what you want to communicate.
You know about 10 words, including mama, dada, ball, more (although you like to withhold this one sometimes), cheers, da (thanks), no (nose), dog, yeah, and hi. You also know how to open doors in the house (total danger) and how to use a step stool! And you like to use your napkin to pat your lips when you're eating, just like you see grown-ups do. You're pretty determined to keep climbing things despite my best efforts to stop you. You will go to the pantry, pull something out and bring it to one of us to open for you. You love your sister best out of all three of us. You also love bath time, swimming, war movies (?!), and your favorite song is Centerfold. You love going to Mrs. Patsy's for daycare and have a hard time coming to terms with the fact you have to leave there each day.
You love brushing your teeth and you've started throwing your trash away in the trash can (light years ahead of daddy) and you are familiar with the rules of time out ;) You still like brushing your hair and you've found a way to take over Avery's karaoke machine - you have even started singing to songs sometimes. You're quite the dancer (and you dance to everything, including lullabies I sing you) and your favorite food is strawberries. You really like walking around the house without a shirt on and you love rubbing your naked belly :) Oh and your favorite toys are some dinosaurs Grandma Gail and Grandpa John gave you.
Since the last blog, we've had cousins and grandma and grandpa come to visit and we've gone to visit family in Kansas City. You are certainly keeping us on our toes but you still have all of us wrapped around your finger!
Here is your life in pictures right now....

Evan, you are the icing on our cake. You're a stinker sometimes but that's understandable as it's hard to communicate when your one! You're coming upon one of my favorite age ranges from Avery's toddler years - can't wait to see what's in store for you next!
All my love,
Mom
