Winter 2022!

 My Dearest Evan,

We've had quite the jumpstart to 2022. We started with some mommy/kid time while dad went to New Mexico for his alumni board. We also got some fun at home time because your entire class was closed due to a COVID outbreak but fortunately you weren't impacted. Then in late January, you switched from going Tuesdays/Thursdays to Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays and you seem to be liking that!

In February, you got some fun valentines from your classmates and we got to go to Disneyland! There were a lot of cheerleaders there for a cheerleading competition at the nearby convention center and you really liked spying on all of the girls :) Your favorite, though, was the Avengers campus. We got to do the Spiderman ride and see some of the cool action like a fight between Black Widow and Black Panther and some bad guys! You got a spiderman robot that you love!

In March, we did a one-night stay in Phoenix for Avery's concert so you and dad joined us and we did the science museum before you did a daddy/son night. Then we had your Aunt Cat and cousins come and stay. Greg brought some friends to check out a university so you got some quality time with "my boys" - you just ate it all up!

You're full of action and attitude right now in your life. You say the wildest things like, "when I was your age, we farted a lot" and "check out my muscles" and "check out my naked butt"! You love doing everything your big sister does and you are always asking for at least one of us to play with you. You like role playing Batman and Robin (you're always Batman) and you like playing board games. You've also started enjoying Mario Cart on the Nintendo Switch you and Avery got for Christmas.

You're still a strong napper even though you often say you're "not ti-red" and you are really set in your habits and ways. Like me, it's hard for you to go with the flow but you're learning as you go. You still wear a pull-up at night but not during nap. You like helping in the kitchen and you're totally fine messing up something your sister is working hard on (not always funny, my boy).

You have the absolute best laugh when I tickle you before bed and your cuddles are worth a few extra minutes :) Here's your life in pictures right now.....

You still want a picture at every drop-off. It's your thing!

Evan we've done a lot since we started the year but there is so much more to come! I love your style, your spunk and the little things you say. You're learning so much in preschool - how to write letters and numbers but also how to play well with others. I love seeing you grow (and it somehow breaks my heart at the same time).

All My Love,

Mom

New Year, New Adventures!

My Dearest Evan, I know it's been a while - I thought about blogging in January and then all of a sudden it was the end of March! You...
